there’s good bands, there’s great bands, and then there’s Death Cab for Cutie. Throughout my life there’s never been a group that’s left such an impact on me in a way they have - every time I get to slap their name on something I’m reminded of just how truly special this job is.
This is the triptych created for their three night run in their hometown of Seattle. They were held at the Showbox, a Seattle music scene staple that the band hasn’t played in almost ten years, and a venue that the band also found their roots in. As these shows are happening under very special circumstances - it only made sense that the posters to go with them were equally as special. Enter, the wickedly talented Miles Tsang
I’ve looked up to and studied Miles’ work for years and years and years - to be able to sit down and share a PSD file with him was really something else. watching my structural linework elements blend in with Miles’ organic and fluid drawings was... awesome. working on this was awesome. I learned a whole lot from that guy between start and finish, and couldn’t be more proud with the final product that we ended up with.
