Quartet of 8×8 linoleum prints, printed on handmade paper using recycled scraps and other materials. Each of these pieces of flora is printed on paper that contains the organic material that they represent, meaning that the money tree is printed on paper with money tree leaves in it, the rose print is on paper with rose petals in it, chrysanthemum paper has chrys petals in it, and so on for the roses. It doesn’t get much more analog DIY than this!
Each handmade sheet has been archivally mounted to a 12x12 black backing board for easy framing, making for a nice and clean presentation.
Please note that this is a very experimental process, and my first attempt. These are far from a perfect cut-and-dry screenprint. They’ve got rough edges, some of them are missing spots of ink where the petals fell out of the paper during printing, some of them have rough edges from the paper creation process, some of these aren’t even in a perfect square. If you like clean-cut and proper, these prints are not for you. But if you’re into unique processes, cool artistic experiments, and something wildly different than anything else I’ve put out before… then these are right up your alley.
