Originally created as one of the 11 panels in the Death Cab for Cutie PLANS poster, I really really loved the image created for I Will Follow You Into The Dark - so much so that I decided to re-draw it later on and turn it into it’s own piece. The idea that we’re all candles slowly burning out, but not burning alone - I feel like there’s something hauntingly beautiful about that. It’s very rare that I’m able to convey a scene exactly as I’m picturing it in my mind - but this is one of those cases where it all kinda just fell right into place.
