Here’s a new poster that I got to do for O.A.R! This show is a homecoming for them, it’s also being recorded for their next live album. It’s always a treat to do a poster for a venue that I went to so much as a kid, and for a band that also calls maryland home.
the building depicted here is black rock mill, an abandoned grist mill just outside germantown - and a favorite spot of the band members growing up. Their guitarist - Richard - asked me to illustrate this building in some capacity, but also find a way to tie in their elephant mascot. playing around with glow in the dark ink I did exactly that - creating a new constellation and bringing it all together. this is my first time using GID inks, it’s really cool to see the type of duality it can really give a piece. can definitely expect to see more of those in the future.
