I’m trying to type up a blurb talking about this project, but it all just sort of feels surreal and no words will quantify how I feel about this. I’m beyond humbled and thrilled to share the poster I got to do for Robert Plant - THE Robert Plant - for his 2019 North American tour. Led Zeppelin is a band that I got into very early on in my life due to my dad’s records, their music still remains untouched and unmatched even 50 years later. Every time I hear Robert’s vocals I kind of just have to take pause and soak it all in, there’s such an incredible power and talent behind them - power that still resonates to this day. To be able to do something for the frontman of such a legendary band, the voice of LED ZEPPELIN, a band that redefined everything about music, is such a stupid huge honor.
For this project, I had the wonderful privilege of working very closely with Robert throughout the whole process. We wanted to go with a vibe of a never ending roadtrip, a wayward voyager wandering through the towering beauty of nature. Leaned heavily into the Kashmir vibes - a traveler of both time and space. It’s very interesting to read about the backstory of when and where that song was written - and I think it also really encapsulates this piece as a whole as well.
I literally could never say thanks enough to Mark and the rest of the people at Probity merch for this opportunity, and to mr. Robert Plant himself for being incredible to work with - I’ll never quite be able to find the right words to express how much this meant to me.
